Priceless Navy

I think this might be my favourite scarf right now. (I say right now, because my favourite of any given item changes a lot.) It’s the perfect size for wrapping and bunching up, but is thin so that it’s not too bulky. And it features my beloved burgundy (or masala as I think we’re supposed to be calling it this year. There’s probably some slight distinction between masala and burgundy, I don’t know what it is though).

Sweater – Topshop (charity shop)

Next Black

This was my outfit from Sunday just gone and I loved it! These jeans have happy memories attached to them as I bought them when we were in Australia four years ago. Burgundy is always one of my favourite colours for fall and so making that one of the layers of my outfit was a must for me. And I think the booties are possibly the oldest pair of footwear in my collection. I’ve had them since I still lived at home so that was pre-2002, and I ordered them from the Next Directory, the actual book, before there was online ordering. Old.

I curled my hair that day using this slightly cheaty, totally lazy-girl method:

This video was pinched from You Tube (obviously) and can be found on the Pose channel, in the Hair by Hollie playlist.

Steve Madden Candence cognac

It was a lovely day on Tuesday when these pictures were taken - hence the sunglasses on my head!

I think this is one of my most favourite tops. It isn’t a true Tall top, but it fits as if it is one. I think the cuffs are actually supposed to turn back to showcase the contrasting width stripes on the other side (it’s double sided too!) but with the sleeves fully extended they are more than long enough for me. And look at the length of the body! I love it! Unfortunately this top is by the now-defunct brand Kew 159 which makes me sad because I’d only just discovered the brand when it closed down.

I’m not sure how I feel about distressed denim tucked into boots. I think distressed denim works really well with ankle boots, but I prefer a cleaner line with knee boots. What do you think?

Top – Kew 159 (John Lewis)

Boots – Steve Madden (c/o Sarenza)

Georgia Rose Moletina red cowboy boots

Another stripes/polo neck/denim skirt combo for the second half of this past weekend. I find tights and a skirt just as comfortable as jeans, hence why I’m wearing this skirt so much this autumn! I added some red in to brighten up the black and white.

Top – Zara
Polo neck – Long Tall Sally
Skirt – Dorothy Perkins Tall

This was Saturday’s outfit for a quiet day around the house. My polo necks are in rotation now that it’s mid-October, although the forecast is for it to warm up a bit towards the end of this week.

Primark Brown OTK Boots

It’s mid-October and the weather has turned cooler over the last few days. So it seemed like a good idea to pull out a pair of tall boots. Brown is a classic autumn colour and one I come back to year after year.

Lou 365 commented on this post and said I should just wear that outfit all the time. That’s kind of what is happening as I have been wearing the heck out of this skirt, as you can see. I forced myself to put it in the wash on Friday night just so that I would wear something different over the weekend.

F+F boots

This denim skirt is fast becoming my alternative uniform for autumn. I recently rediscovered it in my sister’s wardrobe and pinched it back as she doesn’t wear it. I am loving it at the moment, worn with thick tights and my trusty ankle boots and later on it will be worn with taller boots.

F+F boots

These boots and a pair of skinny jeans are my autumn uniform this year. I bought these boots back in April with some birthday money as tan/beige colour ankle boots are always useful, but then I proceeded to neglect them pretty much all summer. Since the beginning of September they have come into their own though and I have worn them multiple times each week. I love that it’s now cool enough to add a hat to my outfit too!
