PMT Challenge - Days 22-26 Catch Up

So things got a bit manic towards the end of April and I didn't have time for full outfit posts.

But here's a quick round up of the last outfits in the PMT Challenge. I'll split it into a few parts to keep the posts from being too long.

Day 22

I wasn't sure about this outfit, but I went ahead with it anyway.

23-04-18c

Cardi - Boohoo
Shirt - TM Lewin (via charity shop)
Pants - F+F at Tesco
Shoes - George at Asda (via charity shop)
Earrings - Nickel and Suede

Day 23

Day 23 I skipped, as I was sick. There might be a do-over at the end of the challenge!

Day 24

Back on it with a colourful spring outfit.

25-04-18

Cardi - Next Tall (via eBay)
Top - Boohoo Tall
Skirt - Long Tall Sally (via eBay)

Day 25

Another one I wasn't sure about. I think it's this cardigan. I prefer it over a dress.

Top - New Look Tall (via eBay)
Pants - Primark
Shoes - TK Maxx
Earrings - Ziggy of Clevedon
Necklace - Primark (via charity shop)

I skipped a day again as the weather forecast was for high temperatures again and it seemed a shame not to wear a dress. Day 18 is coming up in the next post.

So we had a couple of days lovely weather mid-April and this dress was perfect. I did not need the jacket really, but this challenge teaches the importance of a ‘completer piece’ and sometimes I get chilly sitting in the office so it’s always nice to have something there, just in case.

Jacket – Tall Girls
Dress – Boohoo Tall
Belt – River Island
Shoes – George at ASDA

Earrings – Nickel and Suede (gifted)

So the oatmeal cardi got ditched in favour of a blazer again! It was my birthday and we went out for lunch with all the family. I just like a blazer and jeans, what can I say? I was a very lucky girl and got a lovely new handbag with rose gold hardware, so I matched my shoes with the rose gold tips. I also got the fabulous leopard print Nickel and Suede earrings that I'm wearing.

So apparently I was liking orange the middle week in March. It’s certainly a nice bright shade for spring. And it pairs really well with this striped blazer. I took advantage of the dry weather to wear these fabric slip-on trainers as the threat of the weekend snowmagedon was growing ever more by the day.

So it was the second day of meteorological spring but had the weather got that memo? No. Here’s what happened on the first day of meteorological spring:

Yeah. No spring outfits for me just yet then. Particularly since the temperature was not forecast to rise enough to melt any of the snow until after the weekend, and even then it would only be by a couple of degrees and we would still have the wind chill to factor in. Gah.

Now obviously I did not walk to work in these flat shoes (though I did see someone on Wednesday afternoon walking in the snow in similar shoes, and her mate in three inch block heeled boots…) but there’s only so many times you can post EMU boots in a week I feel. I wore my very cosy EMU boots and my feet stayed warm and dry.

Outfit: February 23rd – Stripes and Tan Pleather Jacket

23-02-18c

23-02-18d

I am loving wearing my biker jackets instead of blazers right now, since it’s not yet warm enough to wear them outdoors as coats. So I’m wearing them indoors instead. We have discussed at length here how tan goes with everything so it was a no-brainer to throw on this jacket with a jeans and stripe top combo. I could have gone for my tan ankle boots as well, but decided to change things up a little and picked out my leopard print boots instead.

Oh and if any tall ladies are looking for jeans – these are Primark skinnies in a 34” leg and look how they are bunching up around my ankles! They are waaay longer than 34”! I’ve had this pair almost three years but they still do this style so they’re worth checking out.

Top – Long Tall Sally (sale)
Jeans – Primark
Boots – c/o Sarenza

This was an outfit for a cold, rainy Saturday in February. It was still very much winter. I love a good denim skirt, especially when it doesn't have the traditional button and zip fastening. I find a flatter front much less bulky to wear. And you know how I love zips on things so this is basically a match made in heaven for me. Paired with a cosy sweater and fleece-lined tights I was lovely and warm in the miserable weather.

These EMU boots are genius because they are waterproof. Having been out in the snow my old pair have definitely seen better days so I decided to keep my eyes open for a replacement at a reasonable price. This pair popped up on eBay, BNWT, for around half the price they would have been new. And they are waterproof too, so bonus!

Sweater - Bench (via eBay)
Skirt - Topshop Tall
Tights - Primark
Boots - EMU Australia (via eBay)
Necklace - gifted
Earrings - Nickel and Suede

Outfit: February 2nd – Leopard Print Trainers

02-02-18

02-02-18b

I knew Friday was going to be a busy day in the office so I dressed accordingly in a simple outfit of jeans, a sweater and trainers. Just because you’re going simple doesn’t mean you have to be boring though. Leopard print trainers are much more fun than regular ones!

Outfit: January 22nd – Saved From Friday

22-01-18

22-01-18c

22-01-18d

Another quick mirror/Instagram style snap for you today, my excuse this time being that I had to take my car to the garage first thing for it to be repaired after some kind person drove into me in the post-Christmas snow and dented all the back door in. (And also there were temporary traffic lights right by where I was going so I knew it would take me longer than usual to get there.) I take my pictures right before I leave the house in the morning and so some days it’s either pictures like this or the outfit goes undocumented. And, if it isn’t blogged or Instagrammed, did it even happen? That’s one of life’s great mysteries, huh?*

So these are the shoes I was going to wear the Friday before, but got thwarted by the weather (or lack of it, as there was no snow). Truth be told it wasn’t really warm enough for these shoes in late January, but as I drove to work (I exchanged my car for a courtesy one at the garage) it didn’t really matter.

Cardi – Primark
Top – Long Tall Sally
Trousers – Dorothy Perkins Tall
Shoes – George at ASDA (sale)
Necklace – Scope
Earrings – Ziggy of Clevedon

*Not really.

So yeah, the snow arrived mid-afternoon the previous day and so it was another outfit of thick cosy Primark velvet-lined leggings (honestly, they’re so much warmer than jeans or regular tights so if you don’t already own them, go get some!), a short skirt and a cashmere sweater. With a thermal top layered underneath because I am nesh. Obviously I didn’t walk out in the snow in these boots, I put on my wellies for that (my EMU boots having given up the ghost and started leaking on the way home the previous day). I find wellies particularly cold to wear, even with thick socks, so on a whim I stuck a sheepskin insole inside them this morning. I think it helped a bit.
