Happy Monday y’all! How was your weekend? We were visiting with friends in Lincolnshire. The young man’s Goddaughter is almost 8 so we always visit this time of year to deliver Christmas and birthday presents. We drove down Saturday morning and had a light lunch with them, then the girls went for a walk to the village to look at a Christmas shop and had hot chocolate whilst the boys went to the pub. In the evening the children were dispatched to sleep over at Grandma’s house and the adults went for a lovely meal at a local hotel. Our friends have had a hot tub installed in their back garden this year so when we got back we all went in it for an hour or so. It was kind of surreal being outside in sub-zero temperatures yet submerged in lovely warm water.

Sunday morning we had bacon sandwiches made with English muffins which were delicious. I’ll have to buy some English muffins this week. Then we went to Lincoln for a wander around. It was FREEZING cold so we stopped off at a cafe for hot chocolate and cakes. The young man and I headed home from there and got back around 5pm.
Today is cold again but I didn’t have to scrape my car this morning as it had warmed up a little (to all of 2°C!) and rained overnight. I layered up anyway, the inspiration for this outfit having come from Kendi last week.
