I am not looking forward to coming up with post titles again once the 30x30 is over! I like just numbering the days.
I went back to the optician’s yesterday and ordered my new glasses. I was
Last night I felt like I was fighting the beginnings of a cold so I gave the gym a miss and opted for a quiet night with a Lemsip. I did some ironing, watched the first episode of the new series of Salvage Hunters on Quest and installed the Kindle app on my iPad so I could download the new e-book If You Lived Here, You’d Be Perfect By Now: The Unofficial Guide to Sweet Valley High. If you read this series as a child and want to read some snarky recaps of the books as an adult then download this book now. I came across Robin Hardwick’s blog, The Dairi Burger, some years ago and now she has turned it into an e-book. For the bargain price of £2.60. I’m 7 book recaps into it and so far, so good.
I think a quiet night was just what I needed as I feel much better today. I looked out of the window this morning and saw the very white frost and decided it was cold out. I added a thermal top under my outfit as the sweater has a low v neck (worn at the back today). Call it cheating on my 30 items if you like, but I call it undergarments and also, not wanting to catch a chill.

I loved the SvH books, used to buy a new one each week with my pocket money. Read Sweet Valley Twins too until I was old enough for High. They're all in my parents loft along with my Point Horrors & Point Crimes. God, I was such a bookworm. Good memories :-)
ReplyDeleteI got all the SVH books from the library, which meant I had to read them slightly out of order according to what they had in each week. And for some reason there were certain ones they never had in, like Slam Book Fever, which I was dying to read (don't know why as I bought it for cheap on Amazon a few years back and it was no better than any of the others). Loved Point Horror too - we had some of those in the school library at High School (perk of being a school librarian - you got some say in what books got ordered!).
