Outfit: Shoeper Challenge #13 and a Mix of Smart and Casual
I saw this Betty Boop t over a red long sleeve top on my link within pictures the other day, and thought it might be fun to pair the combo with a smart skirt and heels for a really different look. I think it works OK, what do you think?
Another pair of shoes saved! I find this challenge easy towards the start as I tend to not wear the same shoes day after day. But once I’ve worn my favourites it becomes harder to not just repeat them all. That’s what the challenge is about I suppose! This pair is from Matalan and cost £12 (and that was full price – gotta love Matalan!). They are an 8 wide because that was a better fit than the 8 standard width. Like I said yesterday, the sizing can be hit or miss when the shoes are cheap, just as it can with clothes (H&M sizing anyone?!).
West Is West was very funny last night – if you enjoyed East Is East you will like this one too.
Today has dawned wet and windy – just what I need when I have a hair appointment this afternoon. Actually, my hair was behaving itself quite well this morning. I brushed out yesterday’s curls with some dry shampoo, sprayed some heat protector through it (I use the Schwartzkopf got2b one which I find calms frizz as well as protecting from heat) and then gave it a good misting with gel spray to hold it in place. I knew there was no point trying to do anything fancy with it as it’s so windy out.

I think this is very cute - modern pin-up! The shoes really stand out against the black tights!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I felt great in this all day yesterday - definitely one to remix with different items.
