Hi Shoegal
ReplyDeleteI'm the Belgian one;-)
I've been reading your blog for a few weeks now and have been wondering how you manage to find your great looking cardigans (and winning the auctions) on eBay. (Besides shoes I've suddenly developed an interest in cardigans, and wouldn't mind getting a few extra through eBay, thrift stores etc.).
Good luck with your play this week!
Hi, it's always good to hear from my readers. I set up quite specific searches on eBay - I'm tall so I know that anything with Tall in the description will fit me - LTS, Tall Girls, Tall ranges from Topshop, DP, New Look etc. Then I watch the items and bid fairly near the end. If you can find items ending at times you can be watching it helps avoid getting outbid at the last minute when you're not watching.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading!
As you know I'm one of your UK visitors... but 'hello' anyway!
ReplyDeleteHey - I'm the one in Ireland! Hope you didn't think I was creepy coming out of nowhere and complimenting your outfit - it felt a bit weird !! Anyway - I am with your Belgian reader on this one - how DO you find the shoes?? I'm actually Scottish but living in Dublin now and we just don't do charity shops here like at home!
ReplyDeleteAnyway...keep on blogging and hope the show goes well
Thanks for the tip! I have been trying that but I've still lucked out a few times during the last months: apparently I'm never the only one who happens to love a particular item;-) and that can drive up the price quite quickly.
ReplyDeleteYay! I am glad you found my blog, I am excited to read yours....: )
ReplyDeleteYour Azeri is actually a Scottish lady living in Azerbaijan. It is just nice to keep up to date with things in Britain.
ReplyDeletei'm one of your american fans. i, too, and a shoe fanatic. pointy ones, red ones, shiny ones, tall heels, kitten heels...i love them all! today i'm wearing black/white houndstooth pattern kitten heels. the highlight of my outfit :) keep rockin' the shoes, shoegal!
ReplyDeleteElisabeth: Hi!
ReplyDeletePaddi: No, not at all creepy, I love it when people like my style. What can I say, I like the attention! :) I spend a lot of time looking in charity shops and check eBay daily. I sometimes get lucky in shoe shop sales too but being a big size, more often than not they are sold out.
Plankje: I know, it's annoying when that happens isn't it?
Life Is Wonderful: Thanks!
Anonymous 1: Thanks for reading!
Anonymous 2: Those shoes sound fantastic!
And your Hungarian is another expat Scot, here by way of Canada! We Scots do get around, don't we? ;0) I enjoy your blog, keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI'm one of your Australian readers. I have so many shoes that my boyfriend has to keep his clothes in the laundry so anything titled shoegal is going to interest me. I love reading your blog and looking at the photos. I love the turquise boots.
