PMT Challenge - Days 22-26 Catch Up

So things got a bit manic towards the end of April and I didn't have time for full outfit posts.

But here's a quick round up of the last outfits in the PMT Challenge. I'll split it into a few parts to keep the posts from being too long.

Day 22

I wasn't sure about this outfit, but I went ahead with it anyway.

Outfit: April 14th - PMT Challenge Day 13 and My Birthday Outfit

So the oatmeal cardi got ditched in favour of a blazer again! It was my birthday and we went out for lunch with all the family. I just like a blazer and jeans, what can I say? I was a very lucky girl and got a lovely new handbag with rose gold hardware, so I matched my shoes with the rose gold tips. I also got the fabulous leopard print Nickel and Suede earrings that I'm wearing.

Outfit: April 4th – PMT Challenge Day 3

So, this isn’t an outfit I would have come up with by myself, and I’m still not sure on the teal/olive combo, but that’s what the outfit guide said so I went with it. Loving the striped blazer with the teal top though! And for me, part of this challenge was to get over my, not ‘fear’ exactly, but apprehension about pairing red and green shades outside of December. So I added a red necklace and shoes as my accessories, rather than going with navy shoes which was my natural instinct.

Outfit: March 26th – Blue and Khaki

I wasn’t sure about the combination of this top and cardi but when I put the blue shoes on it tied everything together and seemed to work OK. I think I would go with a lighter coloured top next time though. This is another of my takes on the PMT challenge bonus outfits. The challenge calls for white jeans but as we get the weather for white jeans for about 10 minutes a year I am subbing in these khaki jeggings which I had from last summer.

Outfit: February 21st – White Pumps

Mirror photos today because I updated the software on my phone and the camera remote app decided it was no longer going to work. Gah. A further software update later in the day fixed the issue, but I didn’t have time to faff with it first thing so mirror pictures had to suffice.

So I busted out my white pumps today. There is NOTHING more spring than that if you ask me. Yeah, they need a wash. Do you think they would survive a wash? I also went the blazer-instead-of-sweater route again. Yes, I know I will be back in boots and cosy knits next week it the forecast snow arrives, but for now I’ll take what I can get.

Outfit: February 19th – Starting to Spring Transition

I may be over winter, but the weather is not yet playing ball with my desire to start wearing more spring-like outfits. However, that doesn’t mean I can’t start working in some spring pieces and colours, even if I have to layer them up and still wear tights. So with that in mind I pulled out this sweater. It’s cashmere (so, warm) but it’s bright turquoise-y green (so, spring). I added a white t shirt underneath (so, layer) and tights and boots with the skirt (so, practical). I did think white pumps or trainers would look cute with this too, but it was raining in the morning so boots were a better way to go. Next time though, next time.

Outfit: January 26th – More Training

I will go back to proper photos next week, but this was the second day of my fork lift training so I had to get to work earlier than usual and I wanted to get a load of washing on to the clothes horse (I tried to write ‘airer’ but the spellcheck doesn’t like it?) before I left. I wore this exact same thing the previous Saturday but didn’t get a picture of it so it totally doesn’t count! I like a good layered outfit and this striped top is perfect for layering because it is lovely and long.

Outfit: November 3rd – Plaid on Plaid

My button down shirts tend to be the most neglected section of my wardrobe but I put this flannel one on for casual Friday and I have a re-found love for it. It’s old (like, really old) but it’s still so soft and cosy. I took it in at the back a couple of years ago to give it more shape (it was a bit boxy before) and I think the problem is that I forget that I did that and in my head it’s still boxy. Now I am excited to layer it under sweaters when the really chilly weather finally arrives. It may have been November 3rd but it was still mild enough out for me to wear just this thick cardi and big scarf to walk to work.

Oh, and I think I have solved my issues with wearing ripped jeans in the cooler weather. The answer appears to be over the knee boots! I always used to pack away my distressed denim for fear of cold knees, but wearing my OTK boots (which are basically like a granny blanket for your knees) seems to work pretty well!

Outfit: September 15th – Stripes and Military Jacket

Different coloured stripes today, rather than my usual navy and white/black and white. I was going to put my leopard print sneakers with this, but thought it might be a bit much, so I went for these neutral ankle boots instead.

The only flaw with this jacket is that it doesn’t have pockets. Other than that it’s a great fit and a lovely, soft moleskin-like fabric.
