This morning we drove from Leicester to Birmingham, and had a look round the Bull Ring and the city centre. My dad has been raving for years about the Dillons bookstore being in an old bank building and having wonderful architecture. I’m not sure we found the right place, but the Waterstones store on New Street looked like it could have been an old bank so we went in there. I’m not sure Dillons even exists anymore. The young man shopped up a storm, buying jeans and two sweaters (which is a lot for him in one go).
