Book Review: ‘The Personal Shopper’ and ‘Late Night Shopping’ by Carmen Reid

It’s a mark of a good book when you want to find out the ending, but you don’t want the book to end because you’re enjoying reading it so much.

Meet Annie: the personal shopper with a great house, two children and the perfect wardrobe. The only thing missing is the perfect man.

I’m not sure whether it was the shopping, the descriptions of Annie dressing her clients, the lists of what a certain character was wearing at the beginning of each chapter or the eBay sales that had me hooked. Whichever it was, I thoroughly enjoyed both these books, in a way they are the books I wish I had written. If you love shopping, shoes and clothes as much as I do then ‘The Personal Shopper’ and its sequel ‘Late Night Shopping’ are definitely the books for you.
