So I was right to take a scarf and my coat to the BBQ on Saturday night. It was torrential rain all evening and it was cold! Fortunately my friends had rigged up a tarpaulin over the drive between their house and next door so everyone could keep dry, and they was a covered area at the back of the garage where the BBQing was done so that stayed dry too. We had a great time despite the weather and got home around midnight.Sunday was Fathers’ Day in the UK (and the US too?). I did some washing and the Tesco shop in the morning, then we headed to see the young man’s parents in the afternoon. My parents and sister & brother-in-law came over for a (much drier!) BBQ in the evening. It was warm and sunny and we had a great time in the garden.
