I’ve had such a busy weekend – no time to blog! On Saturday we got up early and headed to the Steam Fair in Pickering, North Yorkshire. It was a lovely sunny day for once. The fair was huge and there were all sorts of things on display – steam engines, fairground organs, vintage cars. There were also funfair rides and little sideshows for entertainment. We had finished walking round by about 3pm so we headed up to Whitby for the rest of the afternoon. We had afternoon tea there and watched a procession of boats in the harbour in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the swing bridge. On the way home in the evening we stopped at a pub on the Yorkshire Moors for our tea.
