Saturday dawned equally warm and sunny. It was also the young man’s birthday. He went off cycling with his mate as that was supposed to be the better day of the weekend. I had a few errands to run so I cycled to Tesco, then later on cycled to Asda. I did some cleaning and watched a few episodes of Gossip Girl.

By Saturday evening it had chilled down a bit, but we were headed out for birthday drinks. I really needed to wash my hair but with only 45 minutes notice to make tea and get ready, the blogger bun was my only option. We met the young man’s mate and went to a local pub.

Sunday we headed off for a day out. We drove to Leyburn but couldn’t find any suitable pubs for lunch (the young man wanted a Ploughman’s but as it was Sunday, everywhere was doing roasts) so we carried on up to Richmond. The pub we chose there wasn’t doing its full menu either, but he settled for afternoon tea instead (which was delicious), and then we had a walk around the castle and by the river. We headed back home for a cuppa, and I did the ironing. In the evening we met up with the young man’s mate again and we went to one of our favourite pubs for tea, which was a lovely way to round off the weekend.
