Outfit: Shoeper Challenge # 80 and a Little Menswear Inspiration
So yeah, these trousers are a little big in the front now. I’ll have to add them to my pile to get altered. I tried to paperbag the waist to hide the extra fabric and I think I’ll get away with it for today. I think the combination of the trousers and the shirt are quite menswear-y, and they looked even more so when I had my hair tied up this morning to do my make up. So I’m playing it down with girly accessories and that awesome jacket I bought yesterday. I detached the faux fur collar though, I don’t think it’s cold enough for that yet. I’ll have to dig out my tie again at some point – I don’t think that’s seen the light of day since about 2008.
Last night I did some baking and here are the fruits of my labour:
It’s an apple sandwich tray bake (I got the recipe from the WW website) and it is delish! It’s basically a layer of sponge cake, a layer of sliced apples, more cake and more apples, with brown sugar sprinkled over the top. The young man wolfed one piece down and asked for a second slice! I also cleaned out the fridge, listed 3 jackets on eBay (one of which has a bid already) and caught up with some blog videos.
Today I finally get my awesome leather blazer back from the dry cleaner (remember, the dark red one I thrifted about 3 weeks ago?). The dry cleaner has had it for a fortnight as they send any leather and suede away for specialist cleaning which takes a week, and then they were closed for a holiday for a week. I am so excited to get it back and actually be able to wear it! I also have to do the Tesco shop and then it’s Boxercise at the gym. Oh, and I need to clean the bathroom too in preparation for our guests tomorrow.
It was weigh day today and I lost another 2lbs, meaning I have now lost just over 10% of my body weight since starting WW two months ago. Go me!
Finally, my latest shoe save. These boots are from Priceless Shoes and were bought for about £8 several years ago. I love them because the rubber sole and tiny kitten heel makes them super comfy to walk in, yet far more stylish than a pair of trainers. I had them reheeled last year I had walked in them that much. I don’t love them because the leg part of the boot is far too wide and just falls down. As long as you wear them under wide leg trousers or jeans they are fine though.
