When I was planning this outfit last night, I thought it wouldn’t really be me. I don’t wear pants that often, and I hardly every wear button downs. However, I think it’s turned out OK, largely due to these trousers being a lot looser on me than the last time I wore them, and consequently long enough for heels.

Due to the longer trouser length, I have ended up saving a different pair of shoes than I intended. I was going to save my new silver flats, but because I didn’t want my dry-clean only trouser legs dragging on the floor, I pulled out these shoe boots instead. I’ve had these years – since around 2000 or 2001. They were bought from the Next Directory, way back before online shopping was popular and the Directory was still just a catalogue. They are leather and have been re-heeled several times. One or both of the zips up the back have also been replaced. I don’t wear them that often, but I keep them around as they are useful being plain black, and the heels are quite low so they’re pretty comfy.

Last night I went to Body Conditioning at the gym and I am much less achy than I was last week. Tonight I have a quiet night in I think, then tomorrow I need to do the Tesco shop.

In other news, I may have located my missing parcel from yesterday – it looks like the courier driver can’t read and has taken it to a totally different address on the industrial estate. And just for a little festive cheer here's a decoration from my Christmas tree:

  2. Thank you! I must wear this sweater more often, it was not at all how I remembered it being.
