Bank Holiday Monday

No outfit post for you today, just a hastily snapped selfie in the sunshine. The unthinkable happened today: we had a bank holiday in the UK and not only did it not rain, it was warm and sunny! We went to Thorsby Hall in Nottinghamshire with my sister and her family as there was a classic car and Mini show. My sister and her husband own a 1998 Mini which was on display in the show area.

We had a lovely time wondering around looking at the old (and not so old – how is it that cars around during my childhood are now classed as classic?!) cars. My parents had a Ford Escort like the one above when I was little. Except theirs was bright yellow. Not embarrassing at all when you're 10. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and then later ice cream in the sunshine.

I told my sister she could get a can of striped paint and do up her Mini like this one!

When we got home the young man and I had a barbeque in the garden and then watched the end of the snooker on TV.

  3. Thank you! I have a cowboy style straw hat that I love but it's a bit big to wear out, so I got this one in the ASOS sale last year. And then it rained all summer so I hardly wore it. Getting some wear in whilst I can!
