Outfit: Leather Jacket, Mid Wash Denim and Polka Dots

I took today off work to extend the long weekend into an even longer one. Hence why this post is going up later than usual. My sister and niece came over and we took a walk to the park this morning. My niece went on the swings and we took her on the seesaw (she’s not yet one so is a bit little to sit on it herself). We walked back through the wooded area above the park.

My niece fell asleep on the way back so my sister and I baked a cake before lunch to make another batch of chocolate truffle. We had some lunch then crumbed up the cake and added some frosting. I put less in this time and it has more of a cakey consistency. I think I need to get a happy medium between this batch and the first batch I made.

We stayed in this afternoon; my niece played with her toys, played with the helium balloon left over from my birthday and then wore herself out and took another nap. My sister and I had a cup of tea. They went home then, and the young man got back from work and we had tea. We’re currently watching the snooker.

Last night I got my hair trimmed after work and then it was church choir practice in the evening. In between I threw a bread mix in the bread maker and made a wholemeal loaf. The top of it was sunken in again but it tastes good.

  1. Hi!

These are great photo's and I love your outfit. Glad you had such a lovely day off with your family.

    Best wishes

  2. Love the converse, I'm thinking of asking for a pair for my birthday. Sounds like you had a lovely day with your family :)

  3. I didn't think I'd like Converse but I needed something sturdier than a ballet flat but less clumpy than trainers for trips out in the summer. Converse fit the bill perfectly. And they come in so many colours!

  4. Thank you, and we did have a very day. Style blogging is so much easier when you have someone to take your pictures!
