Sunday: The Day in Photos

A while back when I asked you what you’d like to see on the blog, someone said they’d like more lifestyle posts. Now I wasn’t quite sure what that would entail, but I decided to document my Sunday in a kind of photo diary to produce a different type of post.

We got up quite late and I put on my grey Next hoodie with my jeans whilst I decided what to wear.

I had a large mug of tea at breakfast. (I also had a bagel but I ate that before I thought to photograph it.) My mom got me that cup in a charity shop as she knows I like a lot of tea!

I did my makeup – here’s where I keep it all in the bathroom.

Here’s what I decided to wear.

I headed into town for a wander around in the sunshine. I listened to Ace of Base’s Flowers album in the car – it’s so summery and always makes me think of sunny days.

I parked at the university as it’s free on Sundays.

I tried on some expensive jeans in Harvey Nichols.

There was some kind of street market going on on Briggate (I think this might be a regular thing as it was there the other week when we went on the Leeds Wheel.)

I came home and had some lunch, then made some bread.

I also made another batch of chocolate truffle.

Here’s my apron – I’ve had that for years, since I was like 10 or something (the strings wrapped around me twice back then!).

Whilst the bread was making and the cake cooling I caught up on some reading.

Then the bread was ready.

I spent the evening writing and scheduling blog posts.

And sampled some of the chocolate truffle.

  3. I enjoyed this post too. How were the expensive jeans? Did you think they fitted any better? That bread looked yummy too. I'm just catching up with older posts after being away and not having time to catch up. Thank you for the shoe advice a couple of weeks ago, I'm sorry I didn't come back at the time to say thanks. I'm still deciding whether to splurge on a lovely pair (the ones with the hearts) Karen x

  4. Thank you!

The jeans were OK - they were 7 For All Mankind. I went to try some on to figure out what size and style I would need if I were to buy some (on eBay). The denim was nice quality but the rises weren't really high enough for me and the legs on that one pair were just long enough, but that was the only style that was. It taught me I should just stick to denim specifically designed for tall people and if I want premium denim, Long Tall Sally have their own range.

Let me know what you decide about the shoes!

  5. Hey babe, I noticed you spelt Mum with with a O not a U, does that mean you prefer American inglish rather than Leeds inglish? I aso admire your large selektion of Qtips, I bet you have really clean ears... does that also mean you have super sonic hearing? I really like Ace of Base, they are rockin. I must say I am a little confused why you are still listening to Cds...? not into the MP3 lifestylz? lolsi pops!

    xoxo keep it up gurly!
