Monday was my sister’s birthday so we both took the day off work and went out for afternoon tea to celebrate. It’s National Chocolate Week this week (apparently) so the afternoon tea was chocolate themed, meaning that all the cakes and pastries were chocolate. It was super delicious!

So I finally got my hair cut on Friday. There was an offer for a free haircut in last month’s In Style magazine sponsored by The Hair Group so I went to a salon I’ve never been to before which was my nearest one where the offer was valid. It was a really good experience and I especially liked how the hair washing chairs had a bit that flicked up to rest your legs on so it was more comfortable leaning back over the sink.

Anyway, I’m loving my new length! I think it looks better with a bit of a wave in it although I used my Spin Curl dryer on it Sunday night and I don’t think it worked as well as it did when my hair was longer. It might have to be my curling wand from here on in. However, I am yet to experiment with styling it straight myself so that might turn out OK too.

Finally, can you tell I am loving this hat this autumn? It was cold and rainy on Monday so a hat was definitely the way forward and for some reason I’m favouring this one this year.
