Sunday morning I was up in reasonable time to pick up the young man’s mum for church. It was the Christmas Festival service – kind of a nativity play. It was very good – there is certainly some acting and singing talent amongnst the congregation.
In the afternoon the young man & I walked up to the local retail park to browse round Borders and seek out any bargains in their dwindling stock. Then we walked back to his parents’ house to have tea with them – roast beef and all the trimmings.
