I decided to go for a simple outfit of basics in neutral colours for casual Friday this week. You may not think that leopard print is a neutral, but it totally is! Look at the colours in this cardi: a creamy beige background with black and brown print. Neutral, neutral and neutral.

It’s not yet cold enough out for a coat, but a cape makes a great transitional piece. This one is vintage – it was my mom’s in the late 60s/early 70s.

These shoes are one of the few pairs I have in what could be described as a nude shade. They were bought from Faith about 5 years ago. They are a great heel, but as the heel has a metal tip (Faith did this with a lot of their shoes) they are sometimes bottom heavy and can fall off your feet when walking up stairs if you are not careful.

I will be uploading outtakes and extras from yesterday and today to my Facebook page over the weekend so be sure to check it out!

Green cape – Vintage (gifted)
Leopard print cardi – Primark (eBay)

Beige shoes – Faith

  1. Love this look, the print sweater and the nude shoes. Been doing nude shoes for awhile (kinda a fad over here) and really love them. They really lengthen legs when wearing a skirt too. Oh so wish it was cape weather here you lucky girl!

  3. Thanks ladies! I think a cape coat would be less OTT than my actual cape, but I have more than enough coats already. I love the cape coat look though.
