This post is going up later than anticipated due to the nightmare day I’ve had with my laptop. I started out at home this morning as I had an 8am online meeting to start and with the road works on the motorway at present you can never guarantee how long it will take to get to work. First of all IE crashed (the meeting programme will only run in IE otherwise I would not have been using it, before you all tell me that using IE was my problem). Then Outlook crashed. Then IE crashed again. I gave up and went to the office, getting stuck in traffic on my way there as I was half an hour later than I would normally have been. At the office my laptop wouldn’t connect to the internet at all, so I shut it down thinking that it would be OK once it had restarted and if it wasn’t, I would just phone IT support. But the laptop had other ideas. It got as far as loading Windows, the wall paper I have set and my mouse pointer, and then got stuck. Twice. The third time I started it in Safe Mode (which is a weird thing if you’ve never really experienced it before) and told it to run a scan of the HDD the next time it started up. That was around 9.30am this morning. At around 2 minutes to 6 this evening it finally finished scanning its disk and booted up properly. (I had to bring it home open and still scanning in my car, praying that its aging battery wouldn’t run out before I got back.)

So here’s today’s outfit, and another pair of shoes saved. These shoes were bought on my first trip to the outlet mall that is not far from where I live now. They are by Magrit who is a Spanish designer and they are leather inside, outside and underneath. I got them back in 2006, around the time I started this blog. Today’s outfit is inspired by Sara of You, Me and Anthropologie (isn’t that a great blog name?) who wore all blue one day last week. I had to wait until the 30x30 was over to do my take on it.

Navy cardi – Next Tall
Blue dress – Wallis (charity shop)
Blue tank – Topshop
Navy tights – New Look
Navy patent shoes – Magrit (outlet mall)
Blue glitter belt – H&M
Silver hoop – gifted
Navy heart necklace – Scope
Blue bead bracelet – gifted
Blue ring – Dorothy Perkins

Total Est. Cost £56

  1. Love the blue...laptops are such a pain! I regularly feel like throwing mine out the window! :)
