Yesterday morning the young man and I set off for Bristol to attend some friends’ wedding reception (they married in Cuba last month). It was a lovely sunny day and quite warm for mid-March. We arrived at the hotel mid-afternoon and went to get something to eat. As we were having a drink in the hotel bar the bride’s parents came in with the same idea – tea and a sandwich and joined us. It was lovely to be able to catch up with them before the party. We then headed up to the function room to see our friends and to help put up the decorations and organise the wedding favours.
