We have this week off because it meant taking only 3 days holiday to get an 11 day break once all the bank holidays were factored in. I went to Tesco for a few bits this morning, and defrosted some homemade soup for lunch. I was planning to make some bread, but we are taking the young man’s parents out for tea as it’s his mum’s birthday tomorrow, and fresh bread is best enjoyed whilst it’s still warm.
The young man has replaced the carpets in our bedroom closet and the kitchen closet with the remnants of the carpet we had fitted last autumn. I took the old pieces to the tip this afternoon, and did some ironing. It is distinctly cooler today, hence the jacket.
