Review: Lingerie Please

Last week I was contacted by Lingerie Please who asked if they could send me something to review something from their site. Of course I said yes please, I love doing product reviews and I love reading them on other people’s blogs and on websites – I think it really helps you to decide whether a product is right for you if you are in two minds about it.

I chose an underwear set from the Playful Promises range – not a brand I had heard of before – but I was drawn by the bright blue detailing on the black lace. I have always been wary about buying underwear online as I like to try on my bras before I buy them, but I went ahead and ordered my usual size and I am pleased to say that it fits fine. The pants were a bit more tricky – I couldn’t find a size guide on the site (S, M, L mean nothing to me if they are not equated to an actual dress size or some measurements) so I just asked them to send me whatever equated to a UK14 and ended up with a large. This also fits me fine.

This is the Blue Blood bra and string that you see here. I love the lace up detailing on the bra cups which just makes it different to anything you see on the high street. There is also lace up detailing on the back of the string – with quite a large ribbon bow. I was worried this might feel ticklish but it wasn’t in the slightest. There are tiny blue diamantes on the front of the string which might catch on tights – something to consider if you wear more expensive tights than I do (I don’t worry too much about snagging my Morrison’s Betterbuy tights!).

Lingerie Please also stocks a range of corsets and suspenders alongside their main bra and briefs ranges. I would definitely consider buying underwear online in the future as there is so much more choice out there than there is in the bricks and mortar shops.
