This is coming a little late in the day, but I’ve been quite busy since I finished work on Friday afternoon. Actually, no, that’s a lie. Friday night was quite leisurely. We watched the Eddie Stobart Trucks and Trailers programme (which is actually quite interesting) and got a fairly early night as the young man had to be up early on Saturday morning. He was headed off to a stag do with his mate: paintballing and quad biking.
I spent Saturday morning doing chores and around lunchtime my sister came over. We had some lunch, then went for a walk to make the most of the lovely weather. We walked about 5 miles and stopped for a drink. On the way home we called at Marks and Spencer for some bits for a barbeque. The young man was out for tea with the stag party so the two of us barbequed ourselves. That was quite unusual as if there’s a guy around I find they will take over the cooking duties if it’s outside. We spent the evening watching You’ve Got Mail.
Sunday the young man headed out on a bike ride with his mate. I cycled up to Boots (and ended up spending a fortune – somehow I always manage to do that) and with all the extra points coupons I had, I managed to accumulate enough points to get free bottle of perfume. Yay for Boots points! In the afternoon I cycled to the next town and then called at Tesco on the way home. I then went and joined the lads for another barbeque.
