Friday evening it was still lovely and sunny so we had a barbeque for tea. By around 8pm it was getting a bit chilly though so we moved indoors.

Saturday dawned wet and windy, and stayed that way for most of the day. I did some chores and made leek and potato soup for lunch. We took a quick trip to the mall in the afternoon, and to M&S Food for supplies for tea and for the young man’s supper, and then returned home. I cooked a Weight Watchers recipe of chicken parcels with roasted vegetables and it was delicious. That’s another good thing about doing WW: I am trying out lots of new recipes as they are all available on the website.

Yesterday dawned, did you guess? That’s right: wet and windy. We spent the morning in the conservatory, Skyping some friends in Australia and listening to the rain hammering on the roof. By about 2pm the rain had stopped and the sun even put in intermittent appearances. We donned our walking boots and headed out to visit the young man’s aunty and her husband, who weren’t in. We continued on and had a few drinks, then walked back through the wood (which was a bit muddy after all that rain). I tried another new recipe for tea: this one was cobbled together from a recipe I already had for chicken and bacon stuffed croissants, but I replaced the croissants with whole roasted peppers and stuffed those instead.

This morning has dawned windy, but not wet (yet) and I am getting in another shoe save whilst I can. These are from Faith and I bought them about 6 years ago I think, just before I started my current job. They were in the sale and were about £20 or £25. £25 I think. I’m sure my feet are shrinking as these shoes feel too big for me today. Perhaps it’s just my tights, but they are sliding right off. I’ve had to stuff the ends with tissue!

This skirt is from Matalan and is longer than I remember. I think last time I wore it I had it hiked up and belted around my waist though, so that could be why. It’s pulled down as far as it will go today.

Tonight my only plans are a trip to Tesco (drawback to WW is that you need to stock up on fresh veg more often) and then my usual Body Conditioning class at the gym.

Black top – Long Tall Sally
Black and cream skirt – Matalan
Beige shoes – Faith
Silver hoops – gifted
Silver and diamante necklace – gifted

Total Est. Cost £54
