NL black faux leather OTK

I almost wore jeans today, but then I figured I’ll probably be in jeans most of next week (we’ve booked it off work to extend our Easter holiday) so I went for a dress instead. I was hoping that the next time I wore this dress I wouldn’t need a top underneath it as it would be warm enough for ¾ length sleeves. Apparently not. There is still a little snow on the ground and the temperature as I drove to work hovered between 0 and -1°C.

If I wasn’t expecting to be saving boots this early on in the challenge, I certainly wasn’t expecting to be saving over the knee boots. I planned this outfit last night to include a pair of black faux suede OTK boots with heels. I then realised that those boots bit the dust last winter and so I no longer have them. Gah. So I substituted these, which, being flat, are probably a better choice with such a short dress anyway. They are from New Look and a staple of my winter (and now spring, apparently) wardrobe for their ability to keep my knees warm.

  1. I love this outfit. I'm sorry to hear of your late season snow but boots are a nice look even into early spring. I was sad to be reminded of the demise of the faux suede otks as they were very nice. Perhaps you can still pick up a pair of heeled otks at final clearance for a bargain. :)
