LK Bennett Madox wedge

These shoes arrived just yesterday from Sarenza, purchased with my latest blog ambassador code. Of course they are from LK Bennett. Yes I am a little obsessed with that brand right now (you should see them all lined up in my wardrobe!) but I know they fit well and I know they are comfortable. I keep toying with the idea of getting another brand but when your feel are as big as mine are there is limited choice in shoes that are cute, well made and comfortable to wear. LK Bennett styles tick all those boxes which is why I come back to them time and again. The pictures on the website of these wedges (the Maddox wedges) don’t do the colour justice. My pictures don’t do the colour justice. They are actually a deeper, greener shade of aqua/turquoise than they look here and they are gorgeous. This does mean that my shoe total has increased by one, but I am planning to get rid of another pair shortly (I have no storage space left – I have to operate on a one in, one out basis!) to get the total back down.

With shoes as vibrant as these I decided to keep the rest of my outfit simple and pair them with a black wrap dress. I would have worn my short sleeved black dress had it been warmer, but May is continuing to fail us weather-wise and it isn’t really warm enough for short sleeves. It isn’t really warm enough for nude tights either but I point-blank refuse to wear black opaques in May.

Last night I went to a shoe party at my friend’s house. It was like a Tupperware party (do people still have those?), but with shoes and bags. I didn’t buy anything as there were only a couple of pairs there that fitted me, but I did have fun trying shoes on (including a pair of super high platform wedges that made me about 8 feet tall!).

Tonight I’ll be doing the Tesco shop and perhaps watching a bit of TV – I feel like I’ve not had chance to sit down of an evening this week yet!

Turquoise wedges – LK Bennett (c/o Sarenza)
