How was everyone’s weekend? Did you get up to anything interesting?
Friday night we went over to the young man’s sister’s house for a birthday tea with his niece L who turned 7 on Thursday. We had a lovely time – we had tea in the garden, L entertained us with a magic show (she’d got a lovely box of magic tricks for her birthday) and we played board games.
Saturday morning we slept late, then I did some chores and the young man finished installing the shower screen he’d started in the week. After lunch I went to the mall for a couple of items and then we had a barbeque for tea. We watched Chariots of Fire that evening on DVD.
Sunday morning I took a few bits to the tip and then the young man went out to meet his mate and go cycling and my sister and niece came over for lunch. Baby M was very good and we had a walk up to the retail park in the afternoon, calling in for coffee and doughnuts on the way back. The young man and I spent the evening watching the closing ceremony of the Olympics.
Today dawned bright and fine but there is rain forecast for later and so I put on platform booties to keep me above any puddles that may form. I was going to wear a black blazer with this, but decided to brighten it up a bit with the pink instead.
