It’s March! It’s spring! Now if only the temperatures would rise a little and it would feel like spring. I did drive to work this morning with just my sidelights on so that is definitely progress and a sign that the days are getting longer.

So it’s back to work after my weekend away and I have decided to designate this as jackets week. I love jackets and sometimes they get neglected in my wardrobe so I’m going to wear one every day this week. They are a really easy way to smarten up any outfit and they work with everything from dresses to jeans. It was fab to wear my (faux) leather jacket all weekend. As much as I love winter coats and am excited to pull them out in October, come February I am so bored with them and am longing to wear my lighter outerwear.

I want to pull out some spring-like items in the coming weeks too and stripes are a good place to start. A nautical top is now a wardrobe basic and never more so than in the spring. However, the fleecy lined tights are a testament to the fact that it is only the calendar that says it’s spring. The weather is still decidedly chilly and I was excited to find Super Cosy fleecy lined tights in navy and burgundy in Primark over the weekend, as well as stocking up on black ones.

Today also sees the debut of my new glasses (pair number one) on the blog. They are a kind of pinky purple colour (I’m not sure how well that comes out on the pictures) so they’re quite different to what I had before.
