Sunday was my birthday. The young man woke me up singing Happy Birthday, brought me a cup of tea in bed then let me open all the cards he’d been stashing as they arrived in post last week. He gave me a couple of gifts too: some Jimmy Choo Flash perfume and a gorgeous navy blue Giorgio Armani clutch bag with a sample of Code perfume inside it.
We got up and had some breakfast and then I roasted a joint of ham and baked some scones. My parents, in laws and my sister, brother in law and niece came over in the afternoon and we had a birthday tea. My niece brought me a helium balloon though I think that it was more for her because she liked playing with it. My sister and parents had clubbed together and got me some new GHDs. The plug on my old pair was a bit dodgy so I replaced it the other week but I’m sure they weren’t heating up properly either. So now I have a shiny new pair. My in laws bought me (well us, apparently it’s to share with the young man) a bread maker. I have long wanted one of those as home made bread is so delicious but such a faff to make. I am looking forward to playing with it later in the week.
We had a lovely day and once everyone had left and we had cleaned up and made the lunches for Monday we watched an episode of Lost.

ReplyDeleteThank you! And Lost - yes, it's pretty addictive. We watched the first couple of seasons when it aired, then it went to Pay TV which we don't have. So now it's on Love Film (like Netflix) and we started at the beginning and are watching the whole thing. But we only have until the end of May to finish as it's going off Love Film then (something to do with licensing). At the end of season 5 now, so just a couple of episodes and season 6 to go.
