This dress is a recent acquisition from New Look’s Tall range. I’m not sure if it’s a bit short for wearing with nude tights, but it’s still quite warm out (Sunday was definitely a blip) and I can’t bring myself to wear thick tights or leggings just yet. I can seen this getting a lot of wear throughout the autumn and winter though, with tights and either black or tan boots, and layered up with a polo neck underneath or a thicker cardi over it (or knowing me, both!). I think the lace collar could make it look a bit twee thought so I added the belt to toughen it up a bit. I keep a lookbook of magazine cuttings of outfit ideas (it’s an old school Pinterest board I suppose) and I’m sure this colour combination is one I’ve had in there for a couple of years now.

Last night I went to Body Attack, which is a new class at the gym. They seem to have cancelled half the old classes and brought in a load of Les Mills classes instead, Body Attack being one of them. I don’t know who or what Les Mills is but this class didn’t seem any different to an ordinary class. I will probably go again, but there’s another new class on at the same time and I’d like to try that out too.

At supper time I heated up the remains of the rice pudding in the microwave and added a few bits of dark chocolate to it. Delish! I think milk chocolate would have been too sweet as the rice pudding is already quite sweet from the sweetener. Whilst I was eating that, we watched a programme on BBC2 about the evolution of the British High Street, how supermarkets came to Britain and the start of the decline thanks to out of town malls. It’s a three part series.

Save number 3 in the shoeper challenge is in the bag. These leopard print flats are from George at ASDA, bought sometime last year when my previous pair wore out. I think leopard flats are a wardrobe staple as they go with everything, so I like to make sure I always have a pair in my closet.

Blue cardi – Next Tall (eBay)
Burgundy dress – New Look Tall
Leopard print flats – George at ASDA
Blue bangle – Diamonds and Pearls (free on BOGOF)
Silver square hoops – Claire’s
