Tuesday was September 1st and the start of meteorological autumn. After the long weekend there was a back to school feeling in the air (even though most of the schools round here didn’t actually go back until Wednesday, and in Leeds the local authority have cocked up the dates so they don’t go back until next Monday!). The forecast was for showers and a cool 15 degrees, so a knit dress, tights and ankle boots were just the job. It rained on Bank Holiday Monday too (of course it did) so I’d worn boots that day too, despite it still being August. See you in the spring, flat shoes!
