Outfit: Saved From Monday
This is the outfit I picked out on Sunday night to wear yesterday – before being thwarted, once again, by the snow. I love this dress and think I will get a lot of wear out of it – in the winter with sweaters and shirts underneath it, and in the summer on its own with a cardi or shrug over it.
I am trying out wearing fishnets over coloured tights for the first time today. I love the idea! It’s a great way to tone down brightly coloured tights if you’re nervous about wearing such a loud statement on your legs. I’ve seen lots of other bloggers doing this, plus it adds a little more warmth to your legs.
The snow is finally starting to thaw and we had balmy temperatures of +1 and +2 degrees yesterday. However, it is leaving the pavements in a slippery, slushy mess and so snow boots are still a necessity for outdoors to prevent falling over.
I was messing around taking my pictures this morning, and did a bit of a Kasmira face for one of them:
Grey dress – Long Tall Sally
Black polo neck sweater – Long Tall Sally
Teal tights – Accessorize
Fishnet tights – Primark (?)
Tweed shoes – Matalan
Teal belt – Claire’s
Teal beads – Claire’s
Silver earrings – gifted
Total Est. Cost £77
