Georgia Rose red booties

It was the church choir Christmas/New Year party last night. It was a lovely evening and I had a chance to catch up with people, many of whom I hadn’t seen since before I went to Australia. We played some games – there was a very cryptic quiz on the wall and a ‘Call My Bluff’-type word game.

We also played Musical Hats, which was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. It’s kind of like Musical Chairs, but with hats instead of chairs. Everyone stands in a circle facing sideways and wearing a hat (although there has to be one fewer hat than there are people), then when the music starts you take the hat off the head of the person in front of you and put it on your own head, and so on. The hats move round the circle and when the music stops whoever doesn’t have a hat is out. Well, it was hilarious. Some people were taking hats whilst there was still one on their head and ending up with two or three piled up. One chap was out but then slipped back into the circle and was collecting up the hats from the head of the person in front who was oblivious to what was going on behind him. The rest of us meanwhile were just falling about laughing.

There was a faith supper so there was lots of yummy food, and all in all it was a great evening.
