Happy Monday y’all. The sun is shining (intermittently) and I have tomorrow afternoon off, so it’s all good around here.
The weekend was a busy one. Friday night we went out for tea at our local pub with the young man’s parents to celebrate his dad’s birthday. We had a lovely evening and then went back to our house for a cup of tea.
Saturday the young man re-grouted the bathroom so I got out of the way and went to see my parents along with my sister. We went for lunch then my sister and I had a walk around our hometown in the afternoon which we haven’t done in a long time.
Sunday we went to Ripley Castle as there was a classic car show on there. We met my sister, brother-in-law and niece there. We had a look at the cars, a picnic lunch and a wander around the castle grounds, ducking under cover when the thunderstorm hit. Mid-afternoon the young man and I headed off to Knaresborough and had a walk by the river, and a drink in a couple of pubs to dodge the second thunderstorm. As we were driving home the young man got a text from his mate saying he was heading to a pub with his brother so we made a detour there and met them for a drink.
The forecast for today was for it to be warm-ish with showers so I opted for coloured tights rather than nude ones. A wrap dress is always an easy option and this brightly coloured scarf and the neutral-yet-interesting shoes finished it off perfectly.
Tonight I have Hard CORE class and ZUmba, plus a to-do list as long as my arm to get through!
