Outfit: Emergency T and Distressed Jeans

Reef Ginger flip flops brown

I call this my emergency t shirt as I bought it last summer when we decided on a whim to stay over in Whitby. We had no overnight things with us and as we’d been cycling all day a clean top was definitely in order for the following day. This one was bought in Boyes (an east coast cheapo department store institution!) for all of about £3. Considering it’s something I only chose as it was the longest length t they had in my size, and it’s a colour I probably wouldn’t have bought through choice, I’ve ended up wearing it quite a lot this summer. I like how it fits and the colour is actually OK.

I have this week off work and took these pictures on Monday before I went to see my parents. My mom wanted me to sort out some boxes (one of which turned out to belong to my sister) and I found a bunch of photos from high school.

Khaki t shirt – Boyes (sale)
Jeans – H&M (gifted)
Brown flip flops – Reef (surf shop in Manly)
Brown wood heart necklace – Scope
Leopard print hoops – Avon (gifted)
Silver and diamante necklace – gifted
Wood bangles – Scope

  1. That is lucky that you ended up with such a good fit in the "emergency" t-shirt! It actually has a nice cut where it's not boxy, but shows the waist. What a great find on a last minute basis, and from a cheaper type store too! I try to find t-shirts that are comfy, yet flattering, which isn't easy for me. I did luck out w/Gap's "favorite tee" this summer, which gave me a semblance of a waist, while not emphasizing my stomach.
